Shoreditch, Served: Inside One Rivington
FEATURES / 29 OCTOBER 2026
This season, a new name joins London’s flex scene. Conceived from the lobby up, One Rivington is a workspace born of hotel hospitality, where panoramic dining, wellness and culture are all folded into the same address. Take a sneak peek ahead of opening day…
Rising above the Shoreditch Triangle, the 26-storey cylinder that houses art’otel London Hoxton has been a fixture of the East London skyline since 2024. Now, the tower welcomes a brand-new addition - one set to become a destination in its own right.
And the philosophy behind it is disarmingly simple: the office as merely one thread in a richer whole, rather than the main event.
Fit for purpose
Set to open on 10 December at 1 Rivington Street, a short stroll from Old Street station and within easy reach of Liverpool Street, One Rivington unfolds across 40,000 sq ft. The third and fourth levels offer a sociable mix of co-working and private offices, from intimate two-desk suites to set-ups for teams of 70.
Higher up, the fifth and sixth offer two self-contained 6,900 sq ft floors, each fully managed and shaped entirely around its occupier, with the lower of the pair featuring its very own private terrace.
Generous breakout lounges are woven throughout, with meeting rooms and phone booths dotted between them, plus a welcome stretch of outdoor space on the communal fourth-floor terrace.
Firmly rooted in its postcode, part of the offer is available at discounted rents to local start-ups and small businesses through a partnership with Hackney Council, while the neighbourhood beyond its doors supplies the rest - creative studios, coffee spots and late-night haunts, all within a few minutes’ walk.
Texture and tone
For Emily Georgakopoulou, Sales Director at One Rivington, a single feature sets the space apart: “The light is the first thing people notice. The circular floorplates flood every desk with daylight, and it makes a real difference to how people feel at work.”
Under that glow, the interiors strike an elegant balance: burnt-orange sofas and slatted timber warm the polished concrete, while trailing greenery softens the exposed services above.
Above and beyond
Wellness is no afterthought. The gym is divided into dedicated weights and cardio studios, its Technogym kit lined along full-height windows, while changing rooms come with complimentary towels and racks for those cycling in.
When it’s time to refuel, three food and drink outlets await, headlined by Solaya. Led by Michelin-starred chef Kenny Atkinson and perched 25 storeys up, the restaurant and cocktail bar takes in sweeping views across the Capital - a far cry from the staff canteen, and a ready-made setting for everything from client lunches to post-work celebrations.
And for occasions that call for something grander, an extensive events boasts an art gallery and a cinema - cultural credentials that few rivals can match.
As Emily puts it: “You can take a call on the terrace, train at lunchtime, host a client at Solaya and screen a film for your team in the evening, all without leaving the building. That’s what One Place means to us.”
