x+why sets sights on 22 Bishopsgate

x+why is making its City debut at 22 Bishopsgate, with a brand new 12,860 sq ft workspace and events destination. The new opening forms part of a wider move to evolve the amenity offering at 22 Bishopsgate, with x+why appointed to bring its signature blend of flexible workspace, hospitality and events to the building.

And there’s plenty packed into the 12,860 sq ft footprint. The new space will house 80 dedicated desks, 150 coworking spaces and four meeting rooms, alongside a 70-seat theatre-style events space, with the workspace available around the clock.

Events are set to play a big role at OnSeven. x+why will roll out a packed programme spanning networking, social, wellbeing and thought leadership, with breakfasts, drinks, yoga, breathwork and talks all on the agenda.

The 70-seat theatre and meeting rooms will also open their doors beyond OnSeven’s membership, with external businesses able to book them for executive meetings, AGMs, half-day sessions and one-off hires.

And it’s quite the address for x+why’s first City outing. 22 Bishopsgate is home to a community of thousands, with OnSeven joining an already extensive line-up of workspace, hospitality, wellbeing and shared facilities under one roof.

Liverpool Street, Bank and Moorgate are all within a ten-minute walk, putting the new opening right in the thick of the City and within easy reach for businesses across London’s financial, legal and tech sectors, as well as smaller teams and individuals looking for a central base.

For x+why, the opening also represents another major addition to its growing UK portfolio, and its first in the City of London. The B Corp-certified operator currently has 12 spaces across London, Birmingham, Manchester and Milton Keynes, spanning private offices and enterprise suites through to coworking, meeting rooms, events spaces and its F&B-led Clubspace concept.

Rupert Dean, founder and CEO of x+why, described the 22 Bishopsgate appointment as a “defining milestone” for the business, with the operator looking to create a destination that brings together work, events, learning and social connection under one roof.
