Spacemade goes big in Blackfriars
with latest flagship site
NEWS / 17 JULY 2025

After turning heads with Studio Y - their hyper-creative W11 workspace that blurred the lines between workspace and studio - Spacemade is back with its boldest move yet. Later this year, the operator will unveil Ellisse by Spacemade: a major new flagship in the heart of Blackfriars, and their largest London site to date. Here’s everything you need to know.
Launching in Q4 2025, Ellisse is landing at 10 St Bride Street, just minutes from Farringdon, City Thameslink, and London Blackfriars stations. Marking the operator’s 16th UK site and sixth opening this year, the space will span multiple floors and is geared towards scaling, established teams on the hunt for a high-spec alternative to traditional leases.
Inside, expect private offices for teams of 6 to 42, alongside breakout areas, meeting rooms, phone booths and a whopping 100-person events lounge - all wrapped in Spacemade’s signature hospitality-led approach. Prices start from £655 per desk.
Backed by REInvest Asset Management, acting on behalf of a major German insurer, the project brings together best-in-class design, setting the tone for Spacemade’s next chapter.
Spacemade co-founder and CEO Jonny Rosenblatt shares:
“We’re seeing more mature, corporate teams leave behind conventional leases in favour of something more intentional." Rosenblatt continued, "Ellisse is a reflection of that - designed not just for day-to-day productivity, but for how modern teams operate". Or, as Jake Stoddart, Spacemade’s Acquisitions Manager, playfully put it on LinkedIn: “After all, today’s flex market isn’t just about scrappy start-ups chasing free beers and ping pong tables.”
Spanning 300,000+ sq ft across 12 brands in London, Birmingham and Leeds, Spacemade is in full throttle - with a 70% YoY growth rate and no signs of slowing down. As the shift to flex accelerates across the board, Ellisse couldn’t be landing at a better time.
