Mantle Space taps former Clockwise
COO Alexandra Livesey
NEWS / 20 JANUARY 2026
The Cambridge-based flexible workspace operator Mantle Space has just announced the appointment of Alexandra Livesey as its new fractional Managing Director, marking a new chapter for the business as it gears up for significant growth across the South East.
As the largest flex workspace provider in Cambridge, with eight locations across the East of England, Mantle Space creates flexible environments that support how people work. Community, care, and connection sit at the heart of everything they do, and Alexandra’s arrival signals a clear intention to grow while staying true to that people-first ethos.
Reporting to Guy Baker, CEO and founder, Alexandra will spearhead a team of 45, focusing on operational excellence and supporting the company’s ambitious growth plans. With new developments already in the pipeline, 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for the business.
Alexandra brings serious industry credentials, having spent five years as COO at international flexible workspace brand Clockwise, where she oversaw consistent UK growth. With over two decades in hospitality, she also played a key role in the 2025 launch of Brama Hotels, a luxury boutique hotel brand. Alongside this, she co-founded growth consultancy Little Red Donkey, helping brands scale across the UK and Europe.
Guy Baker shared his excitement: "From our very first conversation, it was clear that Alexandra had the drive, experience and genuine passion to lead Mantle Space into its next chapter.”
Alexandra added: "For me, it’s all about shared vision, energy and a real passion for the industry and the people within it, and that’s something I felt straight away with Guy and the wider team."
Evidently, there's a clear sense of strong chemistry between Baker and Livesey, a meeting of minds that feels both intentional and exciting.
The appointment follows a period of strong momentum for Mantle Space, including the recent expansion of its 95 Regent Street site to over 22,000 sq ft, and the ongoing operation of The Bradfield Centre on behalf of Trinity College Cambridge.
Since opening its first centre in Stansted in 2007, Mantle Space has grown into a key part of Cambridge’s innovation ecosystem. Accredited a Great Place to Work in 2025, the company continues to champion collaboration, community and connection across all its sites, and with Alexandra on board, the future looks brighter than ever.
