Mantle levels up in Cambridge’s
innovation hub
NEWS / 30 JULY 2025

Mantle Space - the South East’s leading flexible workspace operator - has officially added 8,000 sq ft to its flagship site at 95 Regent Street. The expansion brings the building to a hefty 22,500 sq ft total of premium workspace in one of the UK’s most dynamic innovation hotspots.
Located just minutes from the university and Cambridge’s major research clusters, the expansion taps into rising demand from science, tech, and professional services teams all on the hunt for modern, agile workspaces that can scale with them. Originally built in 1974, the Portland stone building underwent a full revamp back in 2019. Now, with this latest boost, it’s become one of the most sought-after flexible work addresses in Cambridge.
Spread over six light-filled floors, the building now houses over 400 desks, a range of meeting spaces, breakout areas, and a rooftop terrace with space for 70.
Since setting up shop in the city back in 2013, the operator has built a stronghold with four sites across the region, including The Officers’ Mess in Duxford, Nine Hills Road, and its partnership with Trinity College Cambridge at The Bradfield Centre - a science and tech powerhouse at Cambridge Science Park that’s home to over 100 companies.

Beyond bricks and mortar, Mantle has also built a strong community presence -from hosting Go Meet networking events and charitable initiatives like Kickstart Coffee (which supports the Red Hen Project) to rallying members behind everything from local cycling fundraisers to the Cambridge Half Marathon.
“Cambridge is a key location for Mantle Space,” said Guy Baker, CEO at Mantle Space. “Since opening our first centre, we’ve seen the city evolve into a true hub for innovation and enterprise. Expanding 95 Regent Street allows us to continue supporting that growth.”
With eight sites now under its belt across the South East, Mantle is clearly on a mission - and Cambridge is very much in the spotlight. As the city continues to churn out Nobel Prize winners, next-gen tech and £25bn in annual turnover from knowledge-intensive firms - this latest move signals Mantle’s intent to continue investing in Cambridge’s innovation corridor.
