Knowlemore bolsters senior team with
new strategic hires

NEWS / 13 NOVEMBER 2025

Managed workspace specialist Knowlemore has marked a bold new phase in its London growth story, announcing two heavyweight appointments to its senior leadership team. The operator has welcomed Steven Mew, formerly Customer Experience & Flex Director at Great Portland Estates, and Beth Hampson, previously Commercial Director at Argyll.

Joining Founder and CEO John Vaughan, the trio strengthens Knowlemore’s leadership bench as the company accelerates its London portfolio and deepens landlord partnerships across the fully managed workspace sector. For those unfamiliar, Knowlemore specialises in private, non-branded, fully managed workspaces. In short: flexible floors, designed and delivered end-to-end, combining premium design, technology and one transparent monthly cost.

Mew’s arrival marks a major statement. With more than 35 years’ experience across the London office market - including a pivotal role in launching GPE’s own managed platform - he joins to accelerate Knowlemore’s London portfolio and strengthen relationships with landlords and agents eager to meet rising demand in the sub-5,000 sq ft market.

“It was clear landlords were facing strong customer demand…but lacked a trusted partner to deliver it. That gap was the opportunity,” Steven shares. “Knowlemore already has the platform, operational expertise and reputation to do just that.”

Joining him is Beth Hampson, a well-respected commercial voice in London’s premium flex scene. Returning to the industry post-maternity leave, she takes on the newly created Chief Commercial Officer role - driving portfolio growth, safeguarding Knowlemore’s 90 percent customer retention rate, and supporting landlords as they diversify into managed models.

“I wanted a new challenge, one that would let me grow alongside a business that’s scaling fast,” Beth explains. “Working with John and Steven, who have both pioneered new growth areas in the sector, was a rare opportunity. Knowlemore has the quality, the people and the ambition to become one of the leaders in managed workspace.”

“Every other contract in our lives has become flexible - property is finally catching up,” Beth adds. “The market is shifting from a focus on scale to one of quality and experience, and Knowlemore is right at the heart of that change.”

In a market where occupiers demand flexibility and landlords seek streamlined delivery models, Knowlemore’s model hits the sweet spot. The business combines real estate expertise, smart technology and customer-first operations to deliver high-performing private floors for owners and occupiers alike.

John Vaughan called the pair’s arrival a major step forward for the business:

“The managed workspace sector is maturing fast, with increasing competition landlords need an experienced operating partner to deliver quality and consistency aligned to their property interests. Steven and Beth are both hugely respected in the market, their contacts, energy and experience add significantly to the business, I am excited to be working with them as we enter our next phase of growth”.

With a growing pipeline of new London projects - and a strategic partnership with one of the UK’s leading property advisory firms on the horizon - the message is clear: the operator is gearing up for scale. Experience, ambition and timing are aligning, and Knowlemore looks set to play a central role in shaping the next evolution of landlord-led flex.
