infinitSpace doubles beyond Zuidtoren footprint
amid Amsterdam market surge

NEWS / 27 JANUARY 2026

Flexible workspace operator infinitSpace has announced a major expansion of its beyond Zuidtoren workspace in the Hoofddorp district of Amsterdam. The company plans to double the location’s footprint after more than two years of sustained full occupancy. This marks the first time infinitSpace has expanded an existing workspace within the same building, highlighting the growing demand for premium, flexible office space in the region.

Launched in September 2023 in partnership with Bryant Park Services B.V., a fund affiliated with Marathon Asset Management, and with BNP Paribas Real Estate handling asset management, beyond Zuidtoren quickly became a hub for international and local enterprises drawn to its premium design, high-quality services, and connectivity. Companies including Allianz, ADP and IPL Schoeller have taken space in the building, reinforcing its appeal across sectors.

The landmark Zuidtoren building, designed by Kohn Pederson Fox Associates, stands as one of the tallest and most recognisable office hubs in Hoofddorp. Recently refurbished, it offers high-performance, sustainable workplaces with a BREEAM Excellent rating and A+++ energy label, while its location near Hoofddorp train station provides seamless links to Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam’s wider business districts.

The expansion comes amid a broader upswing in the Dutch office market: in the first nine months of 2025, Amsterdam recorded approximately 140,000 sq metres of office take-up, outpacing other major cities. Companies are increasingly prioritising premium space with top amenities, excellent transport links, sustainability credentials, and flexibility: hallmarks of next-generation flexible workspaces.

Quality office space in Amsterdam is limited, and occupiers increasingly seek modern, well-connected, hospitality-led environments that support hybrid working and employee experience. Traditional leases can be costly and risky, creating strong demand for plug-and-play flexible workspaces like beyond, which offer ready-to-use, adaptable offices while helping landlords manage costs and reduce vacancy. This model reflects infinitSpace’s global strategy of partnering with landlords to modernise office space.

Wybo Wijnbergen, CEO and co-founder of infinitSpace, said: "beyond Zuidtoren has been a massive success. Expanding into a second floor allows us to support growing member demand and strengthen our partnership with Marathon." Strengthening beyond’s broader mission to create spaces that have a positive impact on people, organisations, and communities.

The decision to scale within an existing location reflects not only strong tenant retention but also the rising prominence of flexible workspace as a core component of contemporary office strategies. As Amsterdam’s office market continues to rapidly evolve, models that balance occupier needs with landlord asset performance, like infinitSpace’s beyond, are increasingly capturing attention across the commercial real estate landscape.
