Cubo snaps up former WeWork floors
at 55 Colmore Row

NEWS / 28 NOVEMBER 2025

Cubo has unveiled its newest location at 55 Colmore Row, bringing a hospitality-led workspace approach to Birmingham’s commercial heart. The company has taken over more than 30,000 sq. ft across multiple floors of the building (formerly occupied by WeWork) and will now reshape the space with its signature blend of contemporary design, flexibility and community-driven culture.

The move marks Cubo’s continued strategic repositioning of prime former flex sites, following its June 2024 takeover of WeWork’s former base at No. 1 Spinningfields in Manchester, where it secured a 12.5-year lease on the operator’s seven-year flagship location.

Situated within the Colmore Business District, the building offers both stature and connectivity, surrounded by leading financial, legal and professional services firms, and just minutes from Snow Hill and New Street stations. Cubo’s arrival reflects the growing demand for workspaces that balance location and functionality with atmosphere, identity and wellbeing.

“The location has strong heritage and presence,” said Marc Brough, CEO and Founder of Cubo. “Our focus is on designing spaces that people genuinely look forward to working from — places with connection, character and a sense of belonging.”

The interiors will be reimagined to reflect the brand’s aesthetic - elevating traditional office design with refined finishes, glass-fronted suites and open lounge-style zones influenced by boutique hospitality. The aim is to create a workplace that feels purposeful, social and quietly premium.

Once complete, the space will offer private offices, meeting and content suites, a café-style coworking lounge, breakout areas and a programme of social, networking and wellness events. Meanwhile, dedicated areas for quiet focus, informal collaboration and wellbeing will support teams navigating hybrid and high-growth work models.

The takeover of 55 Colmore Row follows Cubo’s recent B Corp certification and marks another step in its considered expansion across major UK cities.
