BASE bolsters team with two ex-FORA leaders
as managed provider sees rapid growth
NEWS / 29 JANUARY 2026
As London’s managed workspace market heats up, BASE is strengthening its senior leadership team with the appointment of two former FORA executives. The new hires underscore the company’s rapid growth in a constantly evolving office market, where occupiers increasingly seek flexibility without sacrificing identity or control. Here’s everything you need to know.
The appointments come amid a period of strong momentum for BASE, driven by occupiers seeking a blend of flexibility, service and autonomy. Through its lease-to-licence model, businesses benefit from fully managed space while retaining a private front door and the ability to express their own identity, culture and brand. It also creates a natural bridge between the traditional office market and flex, offering landlords and brokers a practical, low-risk way to adapt assets to modern demand.
The market response has been clear: in Q4 alone, BASE agreed over 20,000 sq ft of managed workspace transactions, with a further 32,000 sq ft currently under offer across London. The figures reflect not just rising occupier demand, but growing confidence among agents that managed workspace is no longer a niche solution, but a core part of the office landscape.
To support this next phase of growth, BASE has appointed Rebecca Honey as Head of Agent and Broker Relationships. Following a six-year tenure at FORA, and a subsequent stint at Drayton as Broker Relations Director, Rebecca brings a deep understanding of the broker world and a strong track record in building meaningful relationships. At BASE, her focus will be expanding broker engagement, increasing market visibility and supporting continued deal flow across the managed portfolio.
Alongside her, Phoebe Saunt steps into the role of Head of Operations, following a similar six-year stint at FORA. During that time, she managed a 41-strong portfolio and was cherry-picked to lead the launch of a whopping 75,000 sq ft workspace - experience that brings serious operational depth to BASE as it enters its next phase of growth.
The new senior team members highlight BASE’s continued investment in top-level talent as the business accelerates its trajectory and cements its position within London’s managed workspace sector. Managing Director, Michael Dean shares with Flex and The City: “The managed workspace market is evolving rapidly, and BASE is feeling that momentum first-hand. Rebecca’s market relationships, combined with Phoebe’s operational strength, will be instrumental as we continue to scale and enhance our offering."
Taken together, the hires, the deal flow and the model itself point towards a business moving with intent. As London’s managed workspace market matures, BASE appears increasingly well placed for what comes next.
